The Touran is built to fulfill a family’s need for a car that has seating for everyone, luggage space, and comfort. It offers so many advantages that it should definitely be considered if you are looking to buy a new or used Volkswagen. Just like its VW cousins, the Touran is a winning combination of style and structure.

It is very safe on the road, and it is unlikely to roll. Light steering makes parking a breeze, while the car’s handling makes it feel solid no matter where you are driving. You can even get this car with the special option that lets you turn over the wheel when you need to parallel park. The Touran can parallel park on its own, which will make many downtown drivers happy!

The Volkwagen Touran is usually a quiet car, unless you are running the 1.6L engine or the diesel engines. This is not much of a complaint, however, because although the engines may be a bit loud, the inside of the car is insulated from wind and road noise. This makes for a much more enjoyable drive.

This car can seat seven people, but the two seats in the far back are going to be a tight fit for adults. It offers plenty of space for its passengers and a classy interior. Even the middle back seats have plenty of room for your head and legs, so stretch out and enjoy!

If you find yourself needing to carry about a big load, you can fold down some of the seats to open up the boot space. The people at Volkswagen have made this process simple and relatively fast. The back of the car is low enough to the ground that you can load heavy items without needing a steep ramp.

While it has a more conventional look than many of the people-carriers on the market today, the Touran offers a great deal of space through its squared-off shape. In 2007, the Touran got its chrome grille and updated headlights. If gas prices are hurting you, look into the Bluemotion model, which can get up to 52 miles per gallon. That can be quite a benefit in itself!

Your engine choices are quite varied. You can get a Touran with the following types of engine: a 1.6L with a horsepower of 147, a 2.0L with h.p. 147, and a 1.4L with h.p. 140. The 2.0 version was only produced through 2006. You can get extra smooth power and performance when you need it if you choose the 1.4L engine.

If you buy a Touran with a 1.9L diesel, you can get an engine that is efficient and will fulfill much of your need for speed. The 2.0L does not have such a good rate of fuel consumption, but it is faster and less bumpy than the 1.9L engine. Both diesel engines will be a bit loud.

The Touran can handle most of what you ask of it. As a compact car that can seat plenty of people and provide luxury handling, this is one of the best of its kind.
