As many families grow beyond the 2.5 child per family average, the demand for a good family car grows, as well. The Volkswagen Sharan can fulfill this need with style and excitement to spare. As with most Volkswagens, you can find almost anything you want within a Sharan.
This car is known for being a joy to take out for a spin, even though it is a rather large style. You won’t have to struggle with the steering, as it is finely tuned to fit the vehicle. The back seats can be folded and removed, which makes the car customizable to each family’s needs. The storage space in the boot is rather lacking when all seven seats are in place, so taking out a few seats can be a good solution.
If safety is your number one concern, the Sharan can provide you with a great deal of peace of mind. The driver has an airbag, with an option for twin airbags. This specialization has only been in effect since late 1997. Some Sharans may feature a safety alarm, as well.
The Sharan can easily accommodate carseats for the youngest members of the family, while still maintaining an aura of adult style. You can carry a lot of luggage in the boot as long as some of the seats are removed; even with all seats in place, you may find the storage space sufficient to fulfill your needs.
Engine noise will be kept to a minimum in this car; it is insulated above and beyond what many have come to expect. Of course, going beyond the expected is one of the aspects for which Volkswagen is known. The front seat and the middle seat both offer space for the longest of legs. The third row works best for kids.
Just like so many other Volkswagen cars, the Sharan is one of the most reliable cars you can find. It is a car that can be parked with a fair amount of ease in spite of its size. You will also find armrests that you can leave down to prop on or move out of the way. The middle seats have shelves which can be used as tables. Cupholders are also included to keep your coffee (or sippy cup) within arm’s reach.
The front seats can be adjusted higher, lower, forward, and backward according to what you prefer. They also provide lumbar support, always a great hit with the adults. These seats really strive to offer the most comfortable ride.
There are electric windows, a child lock to keep the kids from rolling the windows down if that becomes a problem, and an electric sunroof to let in some fresh air as you roll down the road.
You should have your Volkswagen Sharan maintained on an annual basis to keep it in tiptop shape. With such a good vehicle, it would be a shame to let a minor problem turn into a major disaster under the hood. Listen to the sound of the car as you drive, especially over a rough road. If you hear an abnormal amount of noise, get your car checked out for suspension problems.
The Sharan is one of the best family cars around; it’s fun, stylish, and has all the amenities a car should include. It won’t let you down.
